Ingredients for the sponge cake:

  • eggs - 2 pcs.
  • sugar - 100 g
  • vanilla sugar - 1 pack
  • flour - 100 g
  • baking powder - 1 tsp.

Ingredients for strawberry mousse:

  • strawberries - 300 g
  • sugar - 60 g
  • gelatin - 20 g
  • water - 50 g
  • sour cream - 330 g
  • a pack of strawberry jelly
  • fresh strawberries

The method of making the sponge cake:

1. Beat the eggs with the sugar and vanilla sugar until fluffy.

2. Gradually add flour + baking powder. Beat.

3. Immediately pour into the mold.

4. Bake at 175 degrees for about 30-40 minutes.

5. When completely cooled, cut into 2 cakes.

Method of preparation of strawberry mousse:

1. Pour gelatin with cold water, mix and let it swell.

2. Add sugar and strawberries to the sour cream and beat with a blender until smooth.

3. Melt the swollen gelatin in the microwave with short pulses and add to the strawberry mixture.

4. Stir well.

5. Assemble the cake in the sequence: sponge cake, strawberry mousse, sponge cake, strawberry mousse.

6. Put in the refrigerator until completely frozen.

7. Pour hot water over the strawberry jelly and leave to cool.

8. After the mousse has completely hardened, put the strawberry pieces and jelly on top.

9. Put in the refrigerator.
