Ingredients for the dough:

  • 300 g flour
  • 70 g of corn starch
  • 100 g of water
  • 100 g of oil
  • 90 g of sugar
  • 1.5 tsp of vanilla sugar
  • a pinch of salt
  • jelly (for lubrication):
  • 50 ml of water
  • 1 tsp of cornstarch
  • 1 tsp of sugar

Ingredients for the filling:

  • 10 medium sweet and sour apples
  • 2-3 tsp. lemon juice

1. In a bowl, combine water, sugar, vanilla sugar, salt, stir with a whisk until sugar and salt are dissolved, pour in oil, and stir.

2. Separately, combine the flour and starch, mix, pour in the liquid and knead the dough that does not stick to your hands, wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30-40 minutes.

3. Jelly: combine water, starch, sugar in a saucepan, mix, stirring, brew until thick, cool to room temperature.

4. Peel the apples, cut them into slices, sprinkle with lemon juice, and combine the sugar and cinnamon separately.

5. Roll out the dough to about 1.5-2 mm, cut out circles 7.5 cm in diameter. Put an apple slice on one part of the circle and cover with the other.

6. Brush with jelly and roll in cinnamon sugar.

7. Transfer to a baking sheet covered with parchment. Bake at 200 degrees for 25 minutes until golden brown.
