Baked young potatoes with cheese is a wonderful summer dish that can be served individually or as a delicious side dish. Once you try it, you will never look for other young potato recipes ever again.

That's what a food blogger with the nickname zhuravlina cooking says. On Instagram, she showed how to cook such potatoes and what kind of cheese to use.

Ingredients

  • young potatoes - 1.5 kg
  • mozzarella - 180 gr
  • oil
  • butter - 40-50 gr
  • smoked paprika - 1 tsp
  • salt to taste

Ingredients for the sauce

  • sour cream - 200 gr
  • dill - a bunch
  • salt
  • pepper
  • pickled cucumber - 1 pc
  • garlic - 2-3 cloves

The method of preparation

1. Peel and boil the young potatoes until almost tender, about 20 minutes.

2. Grease a baking dish or baking sheet lined with parchment with vegetable oil.

3. Grate the cheese on a fine grater and sprinkle on the parchment. Put the halved potatoes on top.

4. Melt the butter and add salt and smoked paprika. Brush the potatoes.

5. Bake in a preheated to 200 degrees oven for about 20-25 minutes.

6. Prepare the sauce. Add the finely grated cucumber, finely chopped dill, and garlic to the sour cream and add salt and pepper to taste. Mix everything.
