Asparagus in puff pastry: a delicious snack that is easy to take with you

Asparagus is one of the healthiest vegetables. It is very important to enjoy asparagus and saturate your body with vitamins while its season lasts because it is quite short. This vegetable can be used to prepare many different dishes, or simply eaten alone.

For example, a food blogger with the nickname tania sheremet on Instagram told us how to cook asparagus in puff pastry. This dish is ideal for a snack, as it is prepared very quickly and from ready-made dough, and it is also convenient to take with you.

Ingredients:

  • Puff pastry (unleavened)
  • Asparagus
  • Ham
  • Mozzarella
  • Cream cheese
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Egg + 1 tbsp. of milk for greasing
  • Sesame seeds

Method of preparation:

1. Wash the asparagus, break off, or cut off the hard ends, then boil in salted water for 3-4 minutes.

2. Roll out the thawed puff pastry a little and cut it into rectangles.

3. Put cream cheese on each rectangle in the middle and smooth it out.

4. Cut the edges of the dough into strips.

5. Put ham, boiled asparagus, salt, pepper, and grated cheese on the cream cheese. Close the dough in the form of a pigtail.

6. Place on a baking sheet, and brush each asparagus pie with egg. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top, put in a preheated 180-degree oven, and bake for 25 minutes.
