Appetizer pie with green onions and sausage: Juliia Benkendorf's recipe
If you have such products as flour, eggs, and salt, you can make not only an alternative to the popular bread in Ukraine, but also a delicious and light dish for soups and salads – an appetizer pie if you add sausage and onions to the dough.
On her Instagram page chef Yuliia Benkendorf shared a recipe for a pie, which is based on dough, sausage, cheese, and herbs.
Ingredients:
- eggs – 3 pcs.
- sour cream – 100 g
- wheat flour – 150 g
- baking powder – 1 tsp.
- hard cheese – 80 g
- green onions – 4-5 pcs.
- boiled sausage – 100 g
- ground black pepper – 0.25 tsp.
- salt – 0.5 tsp
- butter for the mold
Method of preparation:
1. Heat the oven to 180 C.
2. Chop the green onions.
3. Beat the eggs with a mixer until smooth.
4. Add sour cream, salt, pepper and beat a little more.
5. Mix the wheat flour thoroughly with the baking powder.
6. Sift the mixture and add it to the bowl with the eggs and sour cream and beat the dough with a mixer.
7. Grate the cheese, add the onion to the dough, and mix.
8. Cover the pie pan with parchment and grease with oil, pour 1/3 of the batter and smooth it out.
9. Cut the sausage.
10. Make a layer of sausage in the center of the dough so that it does not touch the sides of the mold.
12. Top with the dough again and repeat the procedure with the sausage.
13. The last layer will be the dough again.
14. Put the mold in the oven and bake for 30 minutes at 180 C.
