An elementary no-knead pie in half an hour: use phyllo dough

Phyllo dough is a very versatile and easy-to-prepare product. If you don't have time to knead and bake for a long time, phyllo is the way to go. You can make a simple pie with cheese and ham. It will be very satisfying.

The idea of making a no-knead ham and cheese pie was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Yuliia Senych (yuliia.senych). All products are very budget-friendly.

Ingredients:

  • phyllo dough - 1 pack (10-12 sheets)
  • ham - 150 g
  • bacon - 150 g
  • cheese - 200 g
  • butter ~ 50 g (or olive oil)

Ingredients for the filling:

  • eggs - 2 pcs.
  • cream - 200 ml (or sour cream)
  • salt/spices/pepper - to taste

Method of preparation:

1. Take the phyllo dough out of the refrigerator in advance and leave it to thaw.

2. Gather each sheet of dough into an accordion and put it into the mold.

3. If the dough is dry, cover it with a damp towel and leave it for 20-30 minutes.

4. Insert ham/bacon/cheese into the dough layers in random order.

5. Brush the dough with melted butter or oil.

6. For the filling, mix eggs, cream and spices.

7. Pour the cake with the filling and send it to bake in a preheated 200-degree oven for 25-30 minutes.
