Zucchini roll with ham and cheese: how to make an interesting appetizer
Zucchini roll with ham and cheese is not only a delicious appetizer that cooks quite quickly, but also an ideal option for what to do with zucchini, which, as always, is very abundant in the refrigerator.
Food blogger Alex Mil shared on Instagram what to add to zucchini so that it can be formed into a roll. He is also sure that this dish will taste good with any filling.
Ingredients for the roll
- Zucchini - 600 gr
- Eggs - 2 pcs
- Sour cream - 2 tbsp
- Flour - 4 tbsp
- Hard cheese - 30-40 gr
- Salt
- Pepper
- Dill and herbs
Ingredients for the filling
- Cream cheese - 120 gr
- Ham - 250 gr
Method of preparation
1. Grate the peeled zucchini on a coarse grater. Add salt and leave for 5 minutes. Squeeze the vegetable from excess moisture.
2. Mix eggs with flour, add sour cream, grated cheese, herbs, and pepper. Mix well.
3. Add the zucchini and mix again.
4. Pour the mixture onto the parchment and smooth it out.
5. Put in the oven for 20-25 minutes at 180 degrees. Let it cool down a bit.
6. Spread the zucchini cake with cream cheese.
7. Put the ham pieces in several rows.
8. Roll it into a roll and put it in the refrigerator for soaking.
