You stored bread incorrectly! What to do to keep it fresh for up to 7 days: life hack
Housewives make many mistakes when storing bread. As a result, quite often leftover bread or a whole loaf is simply thrown into the trash because it has become moldy or hard.
To avoid this, you need to know how to store bread properly. Mirror figured out how to do it.
Maurizio Leo, baker and founder of The Perfect Loaf, emphasizes that bread should never be stored in the refrigerator, as it will become stale much faster than at room temperature. Instead of this method, the expert suggests using another, much more effective one.
The best method, according to the expert, is to store bread in wax paper. Only there will it remain as soft as it came out of the oven. The wax paper contains wax. Thanks to these features, the bread will remain fresh for 7 days and will not gain excess moisture.
Leo also says that you can use regular paper towels instead of wax paper. But they don't work as well, and the shelf life of the bread will be a little shorter.
