Without yeast: lush Easter cake on cottage cheese dough with candied rum
Homemade Easter cakes can be made from almost any dough or cottage cheese. To make the pastries flavorful and tasty, add dried fruit, chocolate, and condensed milk to the base.
The cook shared on Instagram a recipe for a very fluffy, tasty, and easy-to-make cottage cheese Easter cake.
Ingredients:
- Cottage cheese – 300 g
- Butter – 150 g
- Eggs – 4 pcs.
- Flour – 300 g
- Sugar – 150 g
- Dried fruits (soaked in rum) – 200 g
- Dark chocolate – 50 g
- Baking powder – 1 tsp.
- Soda – on the tip of a knife
- Vanilla, a pinch of salt, and citrus zest – optional
Method of preparation:
1. Beat soft butter with sugar. We try to make it white so that it is fluffy. Add the eggs one by one and beat each time. Add cottage cheese to this mixture and beat again.
2. Add the flour, baking powder, and baking soda and mix until smooth. Lastly, add the candied fruit sprinkled with flour and mix.
3. Put the dough into the molds a little more than halfway and leave it to rise well.
4. Bake at 180 for about 1 hour. Check with a skewer.
They will crack a little on top, but that's okay. Take them out, let them cool slightly and decorate.
