Without milk and yeast: how to make a quick poppy seed cake
This poppy seed roll is an ideal option for a tasty and quick dessert for tea if you don't have much time to cook. You don't even need to make the dough for this dessert, because it's based on ready-made puff pastry. All you have to do is wrap the delicious filling and bake the roll in the oven.
Food blogger Viktoriia Didus (victoria_didus) shared a recipe for poppy seed puff pastry on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- puff pastry – 500 g
- Poppy seed filling – 275 g
- eggs – 1 pc
- powdered sugar
Method of preparation:
1. Cut the dough layer into 2 parts, and roll each slightly.
2. Spread the poppy seed filling evenly, not reaching the sides.
3. Wrap the roll, securing the sides.
4. Beat the egg and grease the roll.
5. Bake at 180 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
