Without eggs and flour: how to make delicious potato pancakes in a pan
It turns out that classic potato pancakes can be made without eggs and flour. In this form, they are not as high in calories or fat, and even children can eat them. The only important thing is to properly prepare the potatoes for cooking.
Food blogger Oleksiy Kryuchkov, with the nickname kruchkov.food, shared a recipe for potato pancakes without eggs and flour on his Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- potatoes - 500 g
- onion - 150 g
- salt, pepper
- sour cream
Method of preparation:
1. Peel and grate the potatoes and onions on a fine grater.
2. Mix the vegetables together and leave for a while. An important point: during this time, all the starch from the potatoes will settle to the bottom - you do not need to throw it away, because it helps to keep the pancakes in shape and replaces eggs.
3. Drain the excess liquid from the vegetables. Add salt and pepper, stir.
4. Fry the pancakes on both sides.
5. Serve with sour cream.
