Without cabbage: juicy zucchini cabbage rolls with meat and rice for dinner
The classic version of cabbage rolls is made with cabbage, but it often turns out to be tough during the cooking process. You can replace it with Chinese cabbage or even zucchini.
The cook shared a recipe for very juicy, tasty, and light zucchini stuffed cabbage on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- zucchini – 2-3 pcs.
- minced meat – 350 g
- frying of carrots and onions
- rice – 3 tbsp.
- sauce: tomato paste or tomatoes, which need to be slightly diluted with water
- salt and pepper, favorite spices
Method of preparation:
1. Add the roast to the minced meat, season with salt and pepper, then add the raw rice.
2. Next, cut the zucchini slices with a vegetable peeler.
3. Put the filling on each slice, roll it up, and place it in the baking dish.
4. Sauce: mix the tomato paste with salt and black pepper, add water, and pour over the cabbage rolls.
5. Simmer in the oven until tender.
