Without any chemicals: how to dye eggs for Easter with blue cabbage
Don't rush to buy store-bought dyes to color your eggs. It's a much better idea to use natural ingredients. They will give you a better color, and no chemicals will affect the taste of the eggs.
Food blogger Myroslava Pekariuk (myroslava_pekariuk) shared her tips on how to dye eggs with cabbage on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- eggs - 5-6 pcs.
- blue cabbage - 1 pc.
- vinegar - 2 tbsp.
- salt - 2 tbsp.
Method of preparation:
1. Finely chop the cabbage and cover the bottom of the pan in which the eggs will be cooked with one half;
2. Put the eggs into the pan and press them down a little.
3. Cover with the rest of the cabbage, add vinegar, salt, cover with water and cook for 10 minutes after boiling.
4. After that, leave the eggs in the pan for 6 hours so that they are well colored.
5. Take out. The eggs will be a deep blue color.
6. Rinse under water.
7. Leave to dry completely.
