Why you should eat oatmeal: Svitlana Fus gives 5 reasons

Oatmeal is a healthy and quite satisfying cereal that can be used to make a delicious breakfast. For example, you can make oatmeal pancakes, cook porridge with milk or water, or even add it to soup. But, unfortunately, not everyone likes it, despite all its beneficial properties.

Nutritionist Svitlana Fus named 5 reasons why everyone should eat oatmeal on her Facebook page.

1. Oatmeal is a source of slow carbohydrates

"Eating a bowl of whole-grain porridge in the morning will help those who are suitable for it to have stable blood glucose levels and feel full for four to five hours," the expert said.

2. Oatmeal has a beneficial effect on the nervous system and improves the functioning of the heart and blood vessels

"People who eat oatmeal for breakfast have much fewer problems with obesity," said the nutritionist.

3. Fuss recommends adding fruit, honey, and nuts to the porridge if you don't like it.

4. The nutritionist noted that oatmeal improves skin and hair condition

5. Porridge will not allow you to gain weight

"When cereal becomes a good habit, the risk of gaining weight decreases," said Fus.
