But it is worth noting that it is not just a tasty and satisfying product, but also very healthy, and according to experts, it helps to reduce bad cholesterol and increase good cholesterol. Avocados should also be eaten by those who are on a diet because they satiate for a long time, providing the body with energy and regulating blood sugar levels.

Nutritionist Svitlana Fus told us on Instagram what avocados are good for, who should eat them, and why.

1. Avocados are rich in nutrients

"Avocado fruits are rich in silicon (100 g – 213% of the daily value), boron (143%, respectively), and nickel (140%). These elements affect the condition of bones, joints, blood vessels, skin, hair, and play a role in the metabolism of fats, carbohydrates, and hormones. It is also a good source of potassium and magnesium," the nutritionist explained.

Avocados contain a lot of vitamin E (13% of the daily value of 100 g), a natural antioxidant that protects the body from premature aging.

"The high content and unique combination of natural antioxidants in avocados – primarily vitamins, minerals, and unsaturated fatty acids – help the body fight inflammation and strengthen the immune system," the expert said.

Fuss also added that 100 g of avocado contains 1.5 daily doses of phytosterol, which reduces the concentration of cholesterol in the human body, promotes collagen production, and preserves skin youth.

"It is important to know that phytosterols also have an anti-androgenic effect, reducing the level and activity of male androgen hormones. Therefore, it should be included in the diet of women who have high levels of male hormones, for example, in polycystic ovaries or menopause," the expert summarized.
