Culinary experts recommend adding oatmeal to minced fish, as it will help fish dishes, such as cutlets and meatballs, keep their shape and not fall apart.
Ingredients:
- Pollock fillet – 700 g
- Onion – 1 pc
- Carrots – 2 pieces (large)
- Tomato paste – 3 tbsp
- Boiling water – 100 ml
- Egg – 1 pc
- Oatmeal – 3 tbsp
- Bay leaf – 1-2 pcs
- Garlic – 2 pcs
- Flour – 50 g
- Oil – 2-3 tbsp
- Salt and peppercorns to taste
Method of preparation:
1. Dice the onion, grate the carrots.
2. Fry in vegetable oil, add tomato paste, salt, boiling water, and simmer for 2-3 minutes under the lid.
3. Put the roast in a baking dish.
4. Stuffing: cut the fillets, put them in a blender, add the egg, oatmeal, salt, and blend.
5. Form the meatballs with your hands, roll them in flour, put them in the mold, and pour boiling water, but not to the very top, be sure to leave 1 centimeter of the dish open.
6. Sprinkle with peppercorns, bay leaves, and garlic halves.
7. Put the finished dish in a preheated 180°C oven for 40 minutes.
You can eat the dish hot, but it will taste just as good cold. It will be very tasty if you add a little sour cream.
