The most delicious and healthy summer berry is strawberry. Experts say that it contains a lot of vitamins and antioxidants that affect the nervous system and serve to prevent diseases. Strawberries can be eaten fresh, as well as made into desserts, drinks, jams, ground with sugar, and frozen whole.
The FoodOboz editorial team shares 3 ways to freeze strawberries for the winter, which will keep them healthy and tasty.
1. How to freeze strawberries whole
Wash the berries well, sort through them, remove the tails, wash them again, and dry them. Put a single layer on a plate or board, wrap it in a plastic bag. Then place in the freezer for several hours to allow each berry to set. Then take the strawberries out of the freezer and remove them from the plate with the bag. Tie the bag, gradually releasing the air, and put the berries in the freezer.
2. In the form of a puree
Pick, wash, and dry the strawberries. Put them in a blender, blend until smooth, then pour the strawberry puree into a plastic container and put it in the freezer immediately.
3. With sugar
Wash the strawberries, peel them, wash them again, and dry them thoroughly, then put them in a single row on a board, wrap them in cling film, and put them in the freezer for several hours. Then remove the berries from the film, put them in special containers, layer them with strawberries, layer them with powdered sugar, and put them in the freezer.
