Nutritionist Maryna Kalinina said that pomegranates have many beneficial properties and should be eaten in the cold season. However, people with ulcers or acute gastrointestinal diseases should limit their consumption.

She shared her advice on her Instagram page.

Useful properties of pomegranate

Among the beneficial properties of pomegranate, the expert identified the following:

  • It is useful for anemia and as a cancer prevention.
  • It helps to increase hemoglobin levels and normalize blood pressure.
  • Due to the presence of certain acids, pomegranate is a powerful antioxidant and can prevent the formation of breast cancer.
  • It helps to relieve menopausal symptoms in women.
  • Useful for the thyroid gland.

Pomegranate bracelet salad according to the recipe of the culinary YouTube channel "Yulia in the Kitchen"

Ingredients:

  • Baked beets - 2 pcs.
  • Baked potatoes - 2 pcs
  • Chicken fillet - 1 pc
  • Onion - 1 pc
  • Walnuts - 100 g
  • Pomegranate - 2 pcs
  • Mayonnaise
  • Greens.

Method of preparation:

  1. Fry the nuts in a frying pan, then chop.
  2. Grate the beets. Mix with nuts.
  3. Dice the onion and stew in vegetable oil.
  4. Cut the fillet and add the onion to it.
  5. Grate the potatoes.
  6. Peel the pomegranate and separate the seeds.
  7. Put the first layer of potatoes on a large plate. Salt it and cover it with a "net" of mayonnaise.
  8. Next layer: chicken fillet and mayonnaise again.
  9. Put beets with nuts. Cover with mayonnaise.
  10. Finally, cover the salad with pomegranate seeds.
  11. Put in the refrigerator and let it sit for 2 hours. Garnish with herbs.
