This applies to lids that do not have a special lacquer coating and they are made of white tin, which oxidizes, so they should not be used for canned foods containing acid, this applies to pickled cucumbers or tomatoes. They cannot be used for legumes and meat dishes.
What kind of lids should be used for canning
