Bread is a product about which experts have different opinions. Some people recommend giving it up and position it as not the most necessary product in the diet. On the contrary, some experts recommend eating bread, not white bread, but dark rye, whole grain bread.

Nutritionist Svitlana Fus recommends choosing dark rye bread among all types of bread because it is made from whole grain wallpaper flour. It contains more vitamins, minerals, and dietary fiber.

But it's worth noting that everyone can choose and make any bread, from any flour, relying solely on their own preferences.

Culinary expert Serhii Dzhurenko shared on his website recipes for delicious homemade bread that can be made both in a bread machine and in the oven.

Rye bread with wine vinegar in the oven

Secrets from the cook:

  • to make the bread have a rich color, you can add a coffee drink made from barley
  • To make the bread light, be sure to sift the flour, preferably several times
  • add wine vinegar to the dough if the kvass is too sweet
  • to avoid lumps in the dough, you need to mix it with a spoon
  • be sure to add oil to the dough for elasticity

Ingredients:

  • Wheat flour - 2 cups
  • Bread kvass - 2.5 cups
  • Wine vinegar - 1 tsp
  • Dry yeast - 1 sachet
  • Salt - 1 tsp.
  • Sugar - 2 tsp.
  • Oil - 2 tbsp.
  • Rye flour - 1 cup

Method of preparation:

1. Sift the flour well, add the yeast, salt, sugar and mix.

2. Pour the bread kvass into the flour mixture and, importantly, if it is too sweet, add the wine vinegar and mix well with a spoon to avoid lumps.

3. Add the oil to the dough and mix again, then add the rye flour, mix with your hands, roll the dough into a ball, put it in a bowl, cover with a towel, and let it stand for 1 hour.

4. Then mix well again and let it stand for another 1 hour.

5. Preheat the oven to 220 C, put the bread on a baking sheet, and sprinkle with flour, but do not touch the dough with your hands. Sprinkle flour on top and put in the oven for 20 minutes at 220 C, and then for another 30 minutes at 180 C.

To make the same bread in a bread machine, you need to follow all of the above steps. The only thing that experts advise is to bake bread there, following the instructions for your bread maker. Also, you need to knead the bread right in it, you don't need to add vinegar, but these are the specifics of the recipe.
