A delicious, homemade, flavorful dessert for tea that will be better than difficult-to-make pies - kifli. You can even make them from puff pastry and pita bread, and use fresh berries and simple jam for the filling.

Cook Tatiana (_tanyushina_) shared a recipe for delicious kifli with cherries on Instagram, which are crispy and flavorful.

Tip: Pour vodka into the dough to make the kifli crispy!

Ingredients:

  • flour - 300 g
  • butter - 200 g
  • sour cream - 200 g
  • vodka - 1 tbsp.
  • salt - a pinch
  • powdered sugar and filling - optional

Method of preparation:

1. Sift the flour onto a work surface. Add a pinch of salt, rub the cold butter into the flour and mix.

2. Add sour cream and vodka and knead the dough. Cut the dough into six pieces. Roll each into a ball, put it in a bowl, cover and refrigerate for 2 hours.

3. Then roll each ball into a thin round layer, dusting with flour. Cut into 8 equal pieces.

4. Put the filling on the edge of each one and roll it into a kifli.

5. Transfer to a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes at 200 C.

Sprinkle the kifli with powdered sugar before serving!
