What you absolutely cannot eat for breakfast: a nutritionist dispels myths
If you choose not to eat breakfast in the morning, you are doing your body a disservice. Since breakfast is the most important meal of the day, it's the first thing you have to "start" your body on an empty stomach, along with a glass of water with lemon. Therefore, food in the morning should be as healthy and correct as possible.
Nutritionist Albina Komisarova dispelled myths on Instagram about forbidden breakfast foods that can supposedly harm the body and named several foods that are really better to give up and those that should definitely be left in your morning diet.
1. Sweets
They are not useful not only in the morning but at any time of the day unless they are homemade, such as sugar-free oatmeal cookies, dried fruits, marmalade, marshmallows, and marshmallows.
Sweets in the morning will not give us long-lasting satiety and will make us hungry again. Combine complex carbohydrates with simple carbohydrates if you can't do without sweets in the morning. For example, it can be porridge with jam. Or candy after a sandwich.
2. Tomatoes and citrus fruits
Of course, if you have heartburn, you should avoid these foods, especially for breakfast. But, if not, you can safely eat this product by adding it to a salad or sandwich.
For some people, tomatoes and oranges can cause heartburn, in which case it is better to remove them from the diet altogether. But this is an individual reaction, not a recommendation for everyone.
3. Coffee
This drink in itself does not pose any threat unless you have individual indicators for it. But it is better to drink it not on an empty stomach, but after breakfast.
4. Sour milk products
You can safely eat them for breakfast, drink yogurt, and eat cottage cheese, even milk, if it does not cause you discomfort.
The nutritionist noted that you can eat any healthy food for breakfast, but you need to focus only on your feelings and, based on this, "remove" some foods or replace them with others for a comfortable breakfast.
