What to stuff potatoes with if you are tired of the usual baked ones: from lard to mushrooms

If your family can't imagine their daily menu without potatoes but they're getting tired of baked and boiled ones, surprise them with stuffed potatoes. It sounds strange, but it tastes incredible.

Recipe for stuffed potatoes with lard and sausages was shared by food blogger bohdanaklimenko on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- potatoes - 0.5 kg
- bacon or lard - 100 g
- smoked sausages
- salt
- spices
- vegetable oil
Method of preparation:
1. Peel the potatoes. Make a deep hole inside.
2. Stugg them with sausages. You may need to trim them to cut them to fit the size of the potato.
3. Sprinkle the potatoes with spices, salt and oil.
4. Wrap the vegetable in bacon or lard.
5. Bake at 200 degrees for 15 minutes.
6. Pour a little water into the bottom of the mold and bake at 180 degrees for another 30 minutes.
Food blogger recepty_przepisy also shared an unusual recipe for stuffed potatoes. She used fillet and mushrooms as a filling. It was posted on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- potatoes - 7 pcs
- oil - 3 tbsp
- salt
- pepper
For the filling:
- chicken fillet/minced meat - 350 g
- mushrooms - 150 g (champignons - 300 g)
- onion - 1 pc
- dried garlic - 1 tsp
Additionally:
- hard cheese - 100 g
- greens
Method of preparation:
1. Combine oil, salt and pepper in a bowl.
2. Wash the potatoes.
3. Use a fork to make small punctures all over the potatoes. Put the vegetables on a baking sheet.
4. Coat with the oil-based mixture. Bake at 220 degrees for 40-60 minutes.
5. Meanwhile, chop the onion and cut the mushrooms and fillets. Fry in a pan until soft.
6. Fry the onion in a pan until soft.
7. Add the mushrooms and then the fillet.
8. Finally, add garlic, salt and pepper.
9. Cut the potatoes in half and remove the center.
10. Put the filling in and sprinkle with grated cheese. Bake at 200 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
11. Sprinkle with herbs when serving.
