What to make a delicious strudel with besides apples: the base is ordinary phyllo dough
To avoid kneading the strudel dough for a long time, you can use phyllo dough. You can make this base in minutes, and it bakes quickly. And juicy cherries are perfect for the filling.
The idea of making cherry strudel with phyllo dough was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Irina with the nickname diali cooking. When cooled, you can sprinkle with powdered sugar.
Ingredients:
- cherries - 300 g
- sugar - 1 tbsp
- corn starch - 2 tbsp.
- Ghee - 50 g.
- phyllo dough - 6 sheets
- egg yolk for greasing
Method of preparation:
1. First, put the cherries, sugar and starch on the fire.
2. Stirring constantly, cook until thickened.
3. Put the thawed dough on a baking sheet one by one and brush each sheet with melted butter.
4. The last sixth sheet does not need to be greased, just put the filling and roll it up.
5. Put in the oven at 180 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
6. Cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
