What to cook with pita bread and minced meat for a snack: a recipe for a hearty and budget-friendly dish
Pita bread can be used to make delicious pies, pizza, meat, and cheese rolls, as well as desserts and snacks.
The cook shared a recipe for delicious pita bread rolls with minced meat and tomato filling on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- pita bread
- 500 g of minced meat
- 1 onion
- 1 carrot
- 4 tbsp of tomato paste
- 2 tbsp of Greek yogurt/sour cream
- 100 g of cheese
- salt and pepper to taste
Method of preparation:
1. Dice the onion, grate the carrots, and fry until golden brown.
2. Add the roast to the minced meat and mix well.
3. For the filling: mix the tomato paste and yogurt (add salt and your favorite spices if desired).
4. Cut the pita bread into small pieces, put minced meat in each, and roll it up. Grease the bottom of the baking dish with the sauce and place the rolls, pour the rest of the sauce over the rolls and smooth them.
5. Cook in a preheated oven up to 180 g for 20 minutes. Grate the cheese, sprinkle over the rolls, and put in the oven for another 15 minutes.
