What to cook chicken drumsticks with to make them spicy and juicy: an idea from Yevhen Klopotenko
Chicken meat is quite dietary, so it is easy to dry out during cooking. To keep the product tender and juicy, it should be complemented with a delicious spicy sauce. It will add spicy flavor, sharpness, and softness to the chicken meat.
Famous Ukrainian chef Yevhen Klopotenko shared the idea of cooking chicken drumsticks in a spicy sauce on his official website.
Ingredients:
- drumsticks – 800 g
- soy sauce – 6 tbsp
- ketchup or tomato sauce – 5 tbsp
- chili pepper – 1/2 pc
- garlic – 3 cloves
- sunflower oil – 2 tbsp
- sesame seeds – 1 tbsp
- salt and pepper – to taste
Method of preparation:
1. Season chicken legs with salt and pepper to taste, and drizzle with oil.
2. Bake in the oven at 180 degrees for 25 minutes.
3. In a small bowl, combine 6 tbsp of soy sauce, 5 tbsp of tomato ketchup, chopped garlic, and half of the chili pepper.
4. Pour the sauce into the frying pan, put on medium heat, and evaporate for 3-5 minutes to thicken the mass.
5. Take the cooked chicken legs out of the oven and put them in the pan with the sauce.
6. Simmer the legs for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally to evenly coat them with the sauce.
7. Serve sprinkled with black or regular sesame seeds.
