Chicken liver is a very tasty and valuable product that is rich in essential vitamins and minerals. Experts recommend eating it for everyone, especially pregnant women and children. It is very easy to prepare and can be used to make delicious pates, pies and added to salads.
Food expert Svitlana Levytska shared on Instagram her tips and recipe on how to cook soft liver deliciously, quickly, and correctly so that it doesn't become bitter.
Tips:
1. To cook soft liver, you will need a deep pot or frying pan.
2. To make the liver without an unpleasant odor, add sour apples.
3. Put the liver, onions, and apples in layers to make it soft, flavorful, and tasty.
Ingredients:
- Chicken liver – 1 kg
- Sour apples – 500 g
- Onion – 400 g
- Oil – 50 g
- Flour – 2-3 tbsp
- Salt, pepper, nutmeg – to taste
Method of preparation:
1. Wash and clean the liver, cut into medium pieces, season with salt and pepper, add nutmeg, and roll in flour.
2. Wash the apples, core them, and cut into slices of about 0.5 cm.
3. Peel the onion and cut into slices.
4. Put everything in layers in a saucepan: onions, apples, liver, repeat until the ingredients are complete. The top layer should be apples and butter.
5. Cover the pan with a lid or foil.
6. Put the dish in a preheated oven for 40-60 minutes at 200°C.
The dish is best served hot with apples and onions, it will be very tasty, flavorful, and satisfying.
