What to add to meatballs to make them hearty and juicy

Meatballs can be served instead of cutlets with potatoes, porridge, or pasta. The products need to be stewed in the sauce, and then they will be very soft and juicy. In addition to the minced meat, you need to add a few more simple ingredients to the base.

The idea of making meatballs was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Zhanna Humeniuk (kotlet tkaa). The products will be much more satisfying if you add cauliflower and bulgur to the minced meat.

Ingredients:

  • minced chicken - 250 g
  • bulgur - 1 cup
  • cauliflower - 1 pc.
  • herbs
  • spices

Ingredients for the sauce:

  • 20-33% cream - 50 ml.
  • tomato puree (paste) - 75 ml.
  • water - 150 ml.

Method of preparation:

1. Boil bulgur and leave to cool.

2. Divide the cauliflower into florets.

3. Cook for 7-10 minutes.

4. In a separate container, mash the cauliflower with a fork.

5. Add the already boiled and cooled bulgur and minced chicken.

6. Mix everything thoroughly until smooth.

7. Add spices to taste and finely chopped herbs.

8. Use wet hands to form balls.

9. Some can be frozen and some can be cooked.

10. Put them in a preheated frying pan with oil.

12. Fry on both sides for just 2 minutes.

Making sauce:

1. Mix cream, tomato puree and water in a bowl.

2. Pour the sauce over the meatballs and cook under the lid until tender for 15-17 minutes.
