What to add to meatballs to keep them from falling apart: a very simple ingredient
Meatballs are a versatile meat dish that can be stewed, fried, or added to soup. These balls are a great alternative to cutlets. But to make sure that the minced meat holds its shape and remains intact after defrosting, you should add one ingredient. Namely, semolina.
The idea of cooking meatballs with semolina was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Halyna (cooking_with_gala).
Ingredients:
- minced meat - 1 kg
- salt - 2 tsp
- smoked paprika - 1 tsp
- black pepper - 1/4 tsp
- red pepper - 1/4 tsp
- garlic - 3 cloves
- onion - 2 pcs
- eggs - 2 pcs
- semolina - 150 g
- water - 150 ml
Method of preparation:
1. Add grated onion and all other ingredients to the minced meat.
2. The mass should be stirred well.
3. Form small balls and place them on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper.
4. Bake at 190 degrees for 30 minutes.
5. Cool and freeze. Such a tasty preparation can be added to soup, broth or stewed with sauce. In any case, they are very tasty.
