What to add to cottage cheese to make cottage cheese pancakes hold their shape: a secret from a cook
Cheesecakes are a real breakfast dish. After all, they are very easy to prepare, literally 10 minutes, and they are very tasty and satisfying, and you can add berries, fruit, and honey to them.
Cook Iryna Vovk shared a recipe for delicious cottage cheese pancakes without soda on Instagram and told us what to do with the base for the cottage cheese pancakes to make them hold their shape well.
Ingredients:
- cottage cheese - 500 g
- eggs - 2 pcs.
- flour - 2 tbsp.
- salt - a pinch
- sugar - to taste
- vanilla sugar - a pinch
- raisins - a handful
- flour for rolling - 1 tbsp.
Method of preparation:
1. Mash the cottage cheese with a fork, add eggs, sugar, salt, and vanilla sugar, and mix thoroughly.
2. Soak the raisins in boiling water, then drain and rinse well with cold water.
3. Add the raisins to the dough and mix.
4. Use your hands to form cottage cheese pancakes, roll in flour, and fry in a frying pan or the oven.
A tip from the cook: to make the cottage cheese pancakes well molded and hold their shape, the finished dough should be refrigerated for a couple of hours. The flour absorbs excess moisture and becomes "obedient".
