What to add to asparagus to make it delicious: a simple and healthy dish
Asparagus is a seasonal green that goes well with many ingredients. The dishes with it are hearty, healthy, and low in calories. It is especially delicious with shrimp.
Famous Ukrainian chef Valeriy (ponomar_valeriy) shared the idea of cooking asparagus with shrimp on his Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- asparagus - 6 pcs
- shrimp - 6 pcs
- Parmesan cheese - 1 tsp (grated)
- butter - 30 g
- olive oil - 1 tbsp
- parsley - 1 tbsp (chopped)
- garlic - 1 clove
Ingredients for the sauce:
- Dijon mustard - 1 tsp.
- vegetable oil - 1 tbsp
- salt
- black or white pepper
- lime juice - 1 tbsp
Method of preparation:
1. Peel the asparagus: break off the hard part with your hands and hold a knife at the top to see where the film begins.
2. Make cuts with a knife and peel with a vegetable peeler.
3. Blanch the asparagus: dip it in boiling salted water for 2 minutes, then in iced water (to stop the cooking process).
4. Fry in a pan with butter and olive oil for one minute.
5. Add the chopped parsley and garlic and fry for exactly 15 seconds. Remove the paper towel from the pan.
6. Fry the shrimp in olive oil, garlic, rosemary and a little butter on each side for 2 minutes.
