What to add to an ordinary cabbage salad for an unusual taste: just one ingredient
The simplest and healthiest salad is made from cabbage, beets, carrots, and herbs. For a rich flavor, you can add spices, sauces, aromatic oils, cheeses, and even berries.
Cook Victoria (cook_with_me_at_home ) shared a recipe for a delicious cabbage salad with sausage, peas, and mayonnaise on Instagram.
For a bright flavor, add sausage to the dish; you can use both smoked and boiled sausage. If you use smoked sausage, add a little less – 200 g – so as not to overpower the flavor of the salad!
Ingredients:
- cabbage - 500-600 g
- Sausage (smoked/boiled) - 200-300 g
- peas - 1 b.
- mayonnaise - to taste
- salt, pepper - to taste
Method of preparation:
1. Finely chop the cabbage, and salt and squeeze by hand.
2. Cut the sausage into thin strips.
3. Strain the peas from the liquid.
4. Combine cabbage, sausage, peas, pepper in a bowl and mix well.
5. Dress the salad with mayonnaise and eat!
