Classic green borscht is usually prepared with pork. The broth turns out to be very rich and fatty. Therefore, if you like a more dietary dish - use chicken.
The idea of cooking dietary green borscht is published on the Instagram page of food blogger Anna Tymoshenko. The dish should be salted last.
Ingredients:
- chicken thighs - 4 pcs.
- onion - 1 pc.
- carrots - 1 pc
- potatoes - 5 pcs.
- sorrel - 1 bundle
- sour cream - 2 tbsp.
- eggs - 3 pcs.
- green onion - 1 bundle
- salt, bay leaf, peppercorn pepper
Method of preparation:
1. Place the cooked meat.
2. At the same time make a frying of onions and carrots.
3. At the end, add sour cream, stir to combine.
4. Take the cooked meat out of the pot, remove it from the bone.
5. Turn into a saucepan and pour in the shredded potatoes and sorrel, salt and cook for another 5 minutes.
6. At the very end, add the hard-boiled eggs or just pour in the raw eggs and stir.
7. Top with chopped green onions.
