Solyanka is a rich meat soup. Traditionally, pickled cucumbers, olives, and lemon are added to it for a bright flavor, but most attention should be paid to the meat because the taste of the dish directly depends on it.

The idea of cooking solyanka with smoked meat was published on the cookingwithlove_18 Instagram page. According to this recipe, the dish is made with pork ribs and flavorful smoked sausages.

Ingredients:

  • pork ribs
  • potatoes
  • onion
  • carrot
  • smoked sausages
  • pickles
  • olives
  • tomato paste
  • oil
  • salt, pepper
  • ground bay leaves
  • parsley, dill
  • lemon

Method of preparation:

1. Cook the ribs in slightly salted boiling water.

2. Peel the vegetables, cut the potatoes into large cubes and onions and cucumbers into small ones.

3. Grate the carrots on a grater for Korea-style carrots.

4. Cut the sausages into rings.

5. Fry onions, carrots and sausages in vegetable oil until golden brown.

6. Add the cucumbers and tomato paste and stir.

7. Cook for about 10 minutes.

8. Add the potatoes to the prepared broth.

9. When it is almost ready, add the roast and olives.

10. Add spices to taste.

12. Add the chopped herbs at the end.

13. Leave to stand for 15-20 minutes.

14. Serve with lemon.
