Chicken is one of the best meat dishes for a festive table. Juicy, soft, tender, and with a nice golden crust – perfectly baked chicken in the oven. The main thing is to choose the right marinade.
One of the culinary blogs (food_by_roschis) published a recipe for baked chicken in orange marinade on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- chicken - 2.5 kg
- oranges - 2 pcs
- garlic - 2 cloves
- liquid honey - 1 tbsp
- ground cinnamon - 1 tsp.
- ground ginger - 1 tsp.
- black and allspice pepper - 2 peas each
- salt and pepper
Method of preparation:
1. Grate the zest and prepare the juice of one orange. Mix the ingredients together, adding the garlic, spices, and honey chopped through a press.
2. Brush the chicken with the resulting marinade inside and out. Put the orange slices in the belly of the chicken. Leave in a cold place for 6-8 hours.
3. Then pour water on the baking sheet and put it in the oven. Put a wire rack on top of the baking sheet and place the chicken on top. Cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes at 180 degrees.
4. When the chicken is cooked, remove the foil, pour the sauce from the baking sheet over the chicken, and bake for another 40 minutes.
5. After 40 minutes, increase the temperature to 220 degrees and bake for 10 minutes.
