What kind of batter to cook zucchini inflorescences in: a successful and budget-friendly recipe
It turns out that you can cook not only zucchini but also its inflorescences. To do this, make a good batter and fry the product in a pan. One option is to fry zucchini blossoms in beer b atter. The flowers are very crispy, have a spicy taste and a pleasant aroma. If desired, they can also be filled with a filling, such as cream cheese.
Food blogger Oksana Kretsul (oksana_kretsul) shared a recipe for beer-battered zucchini inflorescences on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- zucchini inflorescences
- beer - 250 ml
- eggs - 2 pcs
- flour - 140-150 g
- olive oil - 2 tbsp.
- salt, pepper
- cream cheese for the filling
Method of preparation:
1. Wash the inflorescences and cut out the stamens in each.
2. To prepare the batter, separate the whites from the yolks. Mix the yolks with flour and beer. Season with salt and pepper.
3. Beat the whites until fluffy, then add to the batter. Mix well.
4. Add the oil. Mix well.
5. Dip each flower in the batter and fry on both sides in a pan.
