Homemade liver pate is an ideal option for a very satisfying and simple appetizer. But since the main ingredient for this dish has a rather specific taste, it needs to be combined with the right ingredients. Traditionally, these are butter and cream for tenderness. A simple drink will add richness and spice.
The idea of making the perfect chicken liver pate was shared by food blogger Natalia with the nickname natarochka_ on Instagram. This technique requires adding wine to the dish.
Ingredients:
- 100 grams of oil
- olive oil
- 2 onions
- 1 large carrot
- 500 grams of chicken liver
- 50 ml of red wine
- 70 grams of cream or sour cream
- salt, pepper, nutmeg if desired
Method of preparation:
1. Heat the butter and oil in a frying pan.
2. Sauté the onion until transparent.
3. Grate the carrots on a fine grater and add to the onions. Stew for 1 minute.
4. Wash the liver and add to the vegetables. Leave for 5 minutes.
5. Add the wine and cream. Stir.
6. Add salt and pepper to taste and season. Stew for another 8 minutes.
7. Beat with a blender.
8. This pate is preservative-free. Therefore, it can be stored in the refrigerator for no more than 5 days.
