What cream makes the most delicious Spartak cake: the classic dessert in a new way
Spartak is a popular cake that has many variations in preparation. People experiment with a variety of creams and dough.
The FoodOboz editorial team suggests making Spartak with sour cream filling and folding the cakes into a roll. It looks very stylish and appetizing. The idea was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Mariana with the nickname hotuyte_ta_smakuyte.
Ingredients for the dough:
- eggs - 3 pcs.
- salt - a pinch
- butter - 100 g
- sugar - 160 g
- honey - 80 g
- baking soda - 1.5 tsp
- flour - 250 g
- cocoa - 50 g
Ingredients for the cream:
- 20% sour cream - 450 g
- eggs - 3 pcs
- sugar - 160 g
- vanilla sugar - 1 pack
- flour - 50 g
- butter - 250 g
Method of preparation:
1. Prepare the cream: add sugar, vanilla sugar, eggs to sour cream and mix with a whisk.
2. Add flour and put on the fire. Cook until thick and cover with plastic wrap.
3. Prepare the sponge cakes: mix butter, honey, sugar, salt, and eggs, and put on the fire.
4. Heat until very hot, add baking soda, and pour into a convenient bowl (everything will foam). Add flour and cocoa and mix. The dough is sticky, still warm.
5. Put it on a baking sheet covered with parchment and smooth it with a spoon. Bake.
6. Cut the cakes into 8 cm strips.
7. Whip the cream: beat the butter at room temperature for 5 minutes and then add the custard mass.
8. Put 2 tbsp of cream on each strip. Smooth it out and leave it for 15 minutes.
9. Roll up everything in layers.
10. Cover the top and sides with cream. Garnish with crumbs.
11. Put in the refrigerator overnight.
