What are Viennese cookies: better than any pie
Viennese cookies are a versatile dessert with nuts and jam. They cook faster than any pie, so it's the perfect idea for a quick tea-time bake. The dough is very fluffy and tender and bakes well.

Ingredients:
- eggs – 2 pcs
- sugar – 50 g
- flour – 200 g
- butter – 100 g
- baking powder – 0.5 tsp
- jam – 200 g
- nuts – 150 g
Method of preparation:
1. Melt the butter, add sugar, cool.
2. Add the egg yolks and mix.
3. Mix the flour with the baking powder.
4. Add to the liquid ingredients and knead the dough.
5. Cut off 1/3 of the dough and put it in the freezer.
6. Spread the rest of the dough on a baking sheet and form a rectangular cake.
7. Beat the egg white until thick foam.
8. Chop the nuts into pieces of the desired size.
9. Spread the jam over the dough, sprinkle with nuts, and top with the protein mixture.
10. Take out the rest of the dough, grate it, and put it on the protein.
11. Put the cake in a preheated 190-degree oven for 25 minutes. A golden crust should appear.
12. After baking, cut into pieces, and cool.
