Tiropitakia are extremely popular pies originating from Greek cuisine. They are made with phyllo dough and a salty cheese filling. These pies can be fried in a pan or baked in the form of one large pie - tiropita. And this is the main advantage of the dish - every housewife can cook it.

The recipe for Greek tiropitakia pies was shared by chef Eduard Nasirov. It was posted on Instagram.

Ingredients:

  • phyllo dough - 5-6 sheets

Filling:

  • cottage cheese - 200 g
  • hard cheese - 300 g
  • eggs - 2 pcs
  • oregano - 1 tsp
  • olive oil - 2 tbsp
  • paprika - 1/2 tsp
  • garlic powder - 1/2 tsp
  • salt, pepper

Method of preparation:

1. Grate the hard cheese.

2. Mix all the ingredients for the filling.

3. Cut a sheet of phyllo dough in half. Put 1 tbsp of the filling on each piece and form it into a tube.

4. Fry the pies in a well-heated pan until golden brown.

You can enjoy the finished pies on their own or serve them with sauce or vegetable salad.
