You are boiling the wrong kind of rice
If you want to boil rice for a side dish, you need to choose the right kind of groats. It can be, for example, the "Jasmine" variety - this is a long-grained rice that perfectly retains the texture and glues together after boiling.
Do not forget about the lid
Rice should be cooked under a lid at all times. It is very important not to lift it while the product is cooking.
Do not add too much or too little liquid
Rice should be filled with a double portion of water. It is impossible to add neither more nor less. Otherwise, the product will be unpalatable.
Do not pour in cold water
Remember an important point - rice should be put in already hot water. This step is the key to the fact that the groats will turn out crumbly.
High heat
You should cook the rice only on the lowest heat possible. If the temperature is very high, excess starch will be released from the rice, which is why the rice will stick together.
