Waffle cake was and still is one of our favorite desserts. Its taste is well known to everyone since childhood, and the ease of its preparation simply made this cake be made again and again.

And although times and tastes change, the love for waffle cakes remains unchanged among millions of people. A food blogger with the nickname valc_lyubov recently presented an improved recipe for waffle cake on Instagram. Thanks to him, you will be able to look at this dessert in a new way.

Wafer cake with cookies and chocolate fondant: how to make a new dessert

Ingredients for fondant:

  • Sugar - 5 tbsp
  • Cocoa - 5 tbsp
  • Milk - 5 tbsp
  • Butter - 30 gr

Ingredients for the cream:

  • Butter - 400 gr
  • Condensed milk - 400 g

Additional ingredients:

  • Waffle cakes
  • Biscuits for coffee

The way of preparation:

1. Prepare the fondant. Mix all the ingredients in a saucepan and cook for 5 minutes.

2. Prepare the cream. Beat butter and condensed milk with a mixer until fluffy.

3. Spread the prepared fondant on the waffle layer and cover with another layer. Make two such double cakes.

4. Grind the biscuits to a state of crumbs.

5. Wrap a serving board in cling film and place one double fudge cake on it.

6. Spread the cream on top and sprinkle with crushed cookies.

7. Next, lay out a regular waffle cake, cream on top, and cookies again.

8. Repeat this process until the ingredients are finished, but make sure that the last cake is double with fondant again.

9. Put in the refrigerator for 2 hours to soak.
