Wafer cake with a secret: how to make a dessert in a new way
The classic version of a wafer cake is made with condensed milk cream. To make a new take on the dessert, you can add chocolate frosting, nuts, and cookies.
The recipe for a wafer cake with cookies, nuts, and chocolate fondant was published on one of the cooking blogs (tallykoroleva) on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- square wafers - 4 pcs.
- favorite cookies - 2 p
- nuts (roasted hazelnuts) - 200 g
- butter - 400 g + for fondant
- raw condensed milk - 440 g
Fondant:
- cocoa - 8 tbsp.
- sugar - 8 tbsp
- milk - 10 tbsp
- butter - 6 tbsp.
Method of preparation:
1. To prepare the fudge, mix all the necessary ingredients in a saucepan and put on fire. Stirring constantly, cook until smooth. Remove from the heat.
2. Spread the hot fondant on one waffle and cover with the second. Do the same with the other waffles. The result is two pairs of waffles with fudge.
2. Beat soft butter, gradually adding condensed milk.
3. Grease each pair of waffles on one side with the resulting cream.
4. Add chopped cookies and nuts to the remaining cream. Mix and spread on one pair of waffles.
5. Combine two pairs of wafers and preferably put under a press. Let stand for a while at room temperature, then refrigerate overnight.
