Useful beet snack: what to add for a bright flavor
Beetroot is a very valuable and healthy vegetable that is best eaten raw or baked. It makes very light salads, and can also be used to make spreads and soups.
Cook Olena shared a recipe for a delicious, very light and healthy beet appetizer that is very quick and easy to prepare on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- beets (raw) - 2-3 pcs.
- garlic - 4-5 cloves.
- Provence herbs/oregano - 1-2 tsp.
- bread - a few slices
- cream cheese - 1-2 tbsp.
- greens - to taste
- salt - to taste
- oil - 2 tbsp.
Method of preparation:
1. Wash the beets and bake in foil at 180 C for 45 minutes.
2. Peel and slice the beets and chop the garlic.
3. Spread the bread with cream cheese, put the beetroot slices on top, sprinkle with oregano or Provence herbs and serve.
