Unusual cutlets under a coat in the oven: juicy and keep their shape well
These cutlets are an ideal dish when you're tired of the classic ones or want to diversify your holiday table. Although they are made according to a classic recipe, they have a special feature – they are baked in the oven under a vegetable and cheese coat. They hold their shape well and are juicy.
Food blogger Oksana Bilinska (oxana_bil) shared a recipe for unusual cutlets under a cheese coat in the oven on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- minced meat – 800 g
- onion – 3 pcs
- corn flour/ semolina – 2 tbsp
- potatoes – 800 g
- carrots – 2 pcs
- hard cheese – 200 g
- sour cream – 150 g
- salt, pepper
Method of preparation:
1. Combine one chopped onion, minced meat, flour, salt and pepper. Mix everything thoroughly.
2. Chop the rest of the onion, and grate the carrots. Fry the vegetables until golden brown.
3. Grate the potatoes. Season with salt and pepper. Squeeze out excess liquid.
4. Form the minced meat into flat patties. Place on a baking sheet covered with parchment.
5. Put the fried carrots and onions on the cutlets, and top with potatoes.
6. Spread with the remaining sauce and sprinkle with grated cheese.
7. Bake in the oven at 180 degrees for 1 hour.
