Universal marinade for eggplants and cucumbers: how to cook

The easiest way to prepare cucumbers and eggplants is to pickle them. They are especially delicious when combined with flavorful spices. And if you need to prepare some simple, yet delicious appetizer, this is the perfect solution.

Food blogger Olha (podomashnemutut) shared a recipe for a versatile marinade on her Instagram page that is suitable for eggplant and cucumbers.

Ingredients:

  • water - 1 cup.
  • sugar - 1 cup
  • vinegar - 1 cup
  • oil - 0.5 cups
  • garlic - 2 heads
  • hot pepper - 1 pod
  • salt - 1 tbsp.

Method of preparation:

1. First, you need to pass garlic through a press and chop pepper with a knife.

2. Then mix all the necessary ingredients for the marinade in a saucepan. Put on the fire and bring to a boil.

3. If you are going to marinate cucumbers, chop them and place them in a container. Pour the hot marinade over the vegetables and put them in the refrigerator to marinate.

4. If you are going to marinate eggplants, chop them and boil them for about 10 minutes. After that, put them in a container and pour the hot marinade over them. Put in the refrigerator to marinate.
