Universal dough for dumplings and varenyky: what to add

If you want to treat the whole family to homemade dumplings and varenyky, you don't have to make two types of dough at once. There is a universal idea that will greatly facilitate the process of making these products. They turn out to be very firm, elastic and juicy.

According to the recipe by babyshkin_pirochok, the dough is made with sour cream. If you follow the appropriate proportions, you will get an excellent base for your favorite dishes, which will make dumplings and varenyky very easy to make.

Ingredients:

  • sour cream - 200 ml
  • flour - 2 cups
  • salt - 1/2 tsp

Method of preparation:

1. Add salt and flour to sour cream and stir. Knead a fairly stiff dough. Put it in a bowl and cover with a towel. Leave to rest for 1-3 hours.

2. During this time, the mass will become soft and elastic.

3. Do not add more flour.

4. Boil dumplings as usual.
