Trendy summer dessert with apricots: how to impress your family

If you have a lot of ripe and juicy apricots, make crispy galette. Your whole family will definitely love this dessert. You can eat it with cool ice cream or just with tea.

The idea of making crispy apricot galette was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Olha Borachkova. The dough is very simple.

Ingredients for the dough:

  • 82 % butter - 140 g
  • flour - 215 g
  • sugar - 1 tbsp
  • ice water - 3 tbsp
  • a pinch of salt

Ingredients for the filling:

  • apricots without pits - 300-400 g
  • corn starch - 1 tsp.
  • yolk for greasing the sides of the dough - 1 pc.

Method of preparation:

1. Add salt and sugar to flour.

2. Grind with cold butter into crumbs.

3. Add water and quickly knead the dough.

4. Put it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

5. Turn on the oven to 200 degrees and cover the baking sheet with parchment.

6. Sprinkle the dough with a little flour and roll it out to a 30-centimeter piece.

7. Sprinkle with starch and wrap the fruits in it, leaving 3 cm to the edge.

8. Wrap the free edges around the apricots, brush them with egg yolk and sprinkle with almond flakes and vanilla sugar to taste.

9. Bake for 30-40 minutes until set.

10. Serve with ice cream.
