Top healthy salad dressings: perfect for fall meals
During the autumn period of vitamin deficiency, it is especially important to enrich your body with nutrients. This can be done with tasty and healthy salads. You can experiment with a variety of dressings and choose seasonal products for a bright taste - it will turn out delicious.
Myroslava Ulyanina, the host of the Ukrainian version of The Biggest Loser project, shared her options for making healthy dressings for autumn salads on her Facebook page.
What oils are best for salads:
- sesame oil - for Asian salads
- walnut oil - for Mediterranean salads
- avocado oil - for citrus flavors
A variant of the dressing with spices:
- 1 teaspoon lemon or lime juice
- 1 teaspoon of a mixture of dried onion, garlic, parsley, thyme and basil
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground white or black pepper
- fresh green onions, finely chopped (optional)
When choosing ingredients for salads, you should pay attention to the following vegetables that are best eaten in the fall:
- artichokes
- asparagus
- green beans
- raw beets
- broccoli, Brussels sprouts
- white cabbage
- carrot
- curly cabbage
- eggplant
- greens
- kohlrabi
