Ingredients:
- milk - 0.25 l
- flour - 100 g
- eggs - 2 pcs.
- salt - a pinch
- jam, condensed milk, or sour cream – for serving
For the filling:
- poppy seeds - 75 g
- sugar - 30 g
- butter - 15 g
- vanillin - 1/4 tsp.
Method of preparation:
- Pancake dough: mix milk with egg, add sugar, salt and oil, whisk well.
- Sift the flour and add it to the egg mixture, mix until it becomes liquid sour cream.
- Heat a frying pan and fry the pancakes.
- Filling: grind the poppy seeds together with sugar, you can do it in a coffee grinder.
- Melt the butter, add the poppy seed mixture and mix.
- Spread the pancakes with the prepared filling in a thin layer, and roll them up.
Serve with sour cream and condensed milk.
2. Yeast-free poppy seed roll
Ingredients:
- flour - 250 g
- milk - 150 ml
- sugar - 75 g
- chicken egg - 2 pcs.
- natural yogurt - 50 g
- butter - 35 g
- baking soda - 2 g
- poppy seeds - 150 g
- corn starch - 10 g
- vanilla extract - 3 ml
- salt - a pinch
Method of preparation:
- Beat eggs with sugar, add yogurt, a pinch of salt, melted butter, and mix.
- Sift the flour, add the baking soda, and add to the egg mixture, mix everything and knead the dough.
- Put it on the table, knead it well, and put it in the refrigerator.
- Filling: pre-soak the poppy seeds, wash them well, then pass them through a meat grinder or blender.
- Mix the poppy mixture with milk, sugar, and starch.
- Cook this mixture over low heat until it thickens – about 40-45 minutes.
- Add vanilla extract at the end, stir, and cool.
- Roll out the prepared dough, spread it with the paste, roll it into a neat roll, and place it on a baking sheet.
- Put it in the oven for 35 minutes at 180 C.
3. Cucumber salad with poppy seeds
Ingredients:
- cucumbers - 2 pcs.
- tomato - 1 pc.
- bell pepper - 1 pc.
- cilantro - 30 g
- onion - 1 pc.
- poppy seeds - 1 tbsp.
- oil - 1-2 tbsp.
- wine vinegar - 1 tbsp.
- sugar - 1 tsp.
- parsley - 30 g
- salt - to taste
Method of preparation:
- Wash all the vegetables, and cut them as you wish.
- Wash and chop the cilantro and parsley.
- Cut the onion into small cubes.
- Dressing: mix oil with wine vinegar, add salt, sugar, and poppy seeds, and mix thoroughly.
- In a large bowl, toss all the vegetables, pour over the dressing, stir and serve.
